WordPress is completely new to me, so it seems so unfamiliar yet familiar in a way. It is like a mix of Word, PowerPoint, and other apps but all in one program. In Ch. 2, I learned there is a “Dashboard” where you can easily see and access your content. Within that dashboard there is a settings menu where you can customize things like, who can join? Also, did you know that you can customize this “Dashboard”. Yes, by clicking the customize your site, you can hid and show things, also there is a screen options filter to help clean up any boxes you don’t want to see.
In Ch. 3, we get to create our first post, essentially, what you are reading now! I had no idea that it was so easy, yet could get very complex. I had no idea I could:
- create tags on your post
- insert an image
- start/stop a discussion on a post
